Retroactive $10M Contract Returns from the Dead

Tomorrow, New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is trying to push through a $10 million sole-source contractfor the third time—to an out-of-state consultant that can’t win competitive bids.

Even worse, they’ve made it retroactive, essentially spending taxpayer money first and asking for permission later. This is the equivalent of the inmates running the asylum

This contract has already been defeated twice by the Executive Council. Now, DHHS is dropping a late agenda item on the Council, hoping they will finally cave.

This is not how our government is supposed to work—and it’s an insult to every New Hampshire taxpayer.

This is how bureaucracies spiral out of control.

🚫 We must not tolerate last-minute agenda additions or retroactive approvals. These tactics erode transparency and accountability in our state government.

📢 TAKE ACTION NOW: Tell the Executive Council to VOTE NO on the DHHS Late Agenda Contract

Email the following Councilors before tomorrow’s vote:

Joe Kenney – Joseph.D.Kenney@nh.gov

Janet Stevens – Janet.L.Stevens@nh.gov

Karen Liot Hill – karen.liothill@nh.gov

Make it clear: No more rubber stamps. No more retroactive giveaways. Hold DHHS accountable.
