Legislative Update For Week of February 9th, 2026

Hep B Repeal Heads to the Floor and More!

Thank you to everyone who signed in, sent emails, and took the time to attend hearings last week. HB1811, in particular, saw an overwhelming show of public support.

At this time, no further action has been taken on any of the bills in committees that we weighed in on last week, with one exception. HB1671 was unfortunately voted unanimously to Interim Study, meaning the issue will be studied further, but the bill will not advance this session.

The hearing to confirm Justice Daniel Will was Friday and the Executive Council will vote at their next meeting.

Good news: HB1448, banning WEF education curriculum, passed the House and heads to the Senate!

I appreciate everyone who spends the time each week to register their disposition and write testimony. I recommend copying and pasting the testimony, which can be as simple as a single sentence in support or opposition, into both the online submission form and in an email.

Testimony submitted in the submission form is entered in the permanent record, but in my opinion, emails make more of a difference from an activism perspective.
