Legislative Update For Week of February 2nd, 2026

CORRECTION:

Unfortunately, I made a mistake on the last email concerning the three House hearings in Health and Human Services. The email address is incorrect. The correct email address is: househhs@rebuildnh.com

The address has been updated below.

I appreciate everyone who spends the time each week to register their disposition and write testimony. I recommend copying and pasting the testimony, which can be as simple as a single sentence in support or opposition, into both the online submission form and in an email.

Testimony submitted in the submission form is entered in the permanent record, but in my opinion, emails make more of a difference from an activism perspective.

Health and Human Services
Room 158, Granite Place
⭐ 11:00 a.m. –SUPPORT – HB1022
This bill is another attempt to solve the religious exemption form issue. This would allow there to be a form supplied by DHHS, but explicitly spells out what can and cannot be included so that it is not intrusive.

Wednesday, February 4th, N.H. House
Judiciary
Room 230, Granite Place
⭐ 9:30 a.m. – SUPPORT – HB1671
This bill requires the state to withhold Medicaid payments from any medical facility who does not accept religious and medical exemptions for employees or students training at the facility. This has particularly been an issue for students.

If you were a student who encountered this issue, or if you are a parent or grandparent of a student who has had this issue, please attend the hearing! If you can’t attend, at least submit testimony and email me the testimony so I can read it at the hearing: director@rebuildnh.com.
