To Ms. Marcy Kelley, Members of SAU 67 School Board, and Commissioner Frank Edelblut;

We, the undersigned, understand that on September 17, several parents attended a girl’s soccer match wearing pink armbands to support girls-only sports,

We, the undersigned, understand that at least two of these parents have been issued a police-enforced “No Trespassing” order,

We, the undersigned, understand the First Amendment guarantees these parents the right to free speech and the right to protest,

We, the undersigned, understand that this specific matter has already been litigated to the Supreme Court of the United States in Tinker vs. Des Moines in 1969, when the Court held that armbands represented pure speech and further held that people do not lose their right to freedom of speech when they step onto public school property,

Now therefore, we the undersigned hereby demand that Superintendent Kelley rescind the “No Trespassing” order and issue a public apology to the impacted parents and if these actions are not taken, that the school board members of SAU 67 have Ms. Kelley removed from her position.
