I own a private music school in Merrimack. While I have been able to continue teaching in some capacity, remote learning is challenging for young children or children with special needs. I have lost students due to this issue. I have also lost students due to their own financial hardships. As much as people like to argue about “trickle down economics,” that is truly how it works. Students have lost their jobs, and therefore discontinued lessons, resulting in less income for me. I can no longer spend money on other foods and services, resulting in loss of jobs and income for others.
This self-inflicted wound to our economy is going to take a very long time to fully recover from, and I hope we can start the recovery process soon.
